Our Queens Approaching Retirement
Below are our magnificent females approaching the final chapter of their breeding careers, each with one special litter remaining. These girls have strengthened the German ADRK Rottweiler in South Africa and beyond — producing sound, healthy, stable, beautifully structured offspring and passing on the world-class bloodlines that define Craffenheim Rottweilers. Any lover of German Rottweilers would be blessed to gain a pup from any of these girls.

Our Commitment to Ethical, Responsible Female Breeding
Guided by FCI & KUSA Standards
At Craffenheim Rottweilers, our breeding philosophy begins and ends with the wellbeing, dignity and long-term health of our girls — the “Queens” of our kennel. As fully registered and compliant members of both FCI and KUSA, we strictly follow the rules and ethical standards that govern responsible breeding. These protections include age-appropriate breeding limits, mandatory rest cycles, caps on total litters, veterinary oversight, health certification, humane housing and lifelong care. We uphold these principles wholeheartedly, not because they are required, but because they are right.
Limited Litters and a Life of Retirement Luxury
Each Craffenheim female produces only a small, carefully planned number of litters. Every mating is intentional, researched, and supported by veterinary guidance and FCI/KUSA alignment. Once a female has completed her breeding contribution, she retires here on the farm, living in comfort with spacious fields, daily exercise, swimming, high-quality nutrition, enrichment, veterinary care, and individual attention. Their value is never forgotten — retirement is their time to shine as beloved companions.
Limited Litters
In exceptional cases, a female may have one additional litter when she has produced exceptional progeny or carries a valuable old German bloodline that can be safely preserved through responsible, science-based mating. For this, we submit a formal application to the KUSA Breeding Dispensation process. The KUSA Breed Council requires veterinary reports, health clearances, written motivation, genetic testing, justification regarding preservation of the gene pool, and proof the mating is safe and beneficial for the breed. Only once KUSA grants approval is a final litter allowed, ensuring every exception is made for the right reasons and under full regulatory oversight.
Their Bloodlines Will Live On
Each of these Queens has helped shape our kennel’s legacy and elevate the standard of the breed. As they prepare for retirement, we honour their contributions and celebrate the lasting impact they have made on countless families and on the breed we love.
