♂  SIRE:

Blue von der Scherau

♀  DAM:

Craffenheim Unja

Affectionately known as “The Rinkhals Slayer” and “Panther Tank” — is an exceptional, fully German‑pedigreed ADRK male whose strength, courage, and type set him apart.

Bred from world‑renowned bloodlines, Black is the son of Blue von der Scherau of Craffenheim (Vitus vom Hause Neubrand × Ulla von der Scherau) and Craffenheim Unja (Chris vom Schwaiger Rathaus of Craffenheim × Seline vom Dunvahof of Craffenheim). His pedigree is stacked with influential German champions known for producing correct type, strong working ability, and stable temperaments.

Conformation & Temperament

Black is a large, powerful male with superb bone, a broad and expressive head, correct topline, and balanced angulation. His movement is fluid and purposeful, reflecting his excellent structure. True to the German Rottweiler standard, he combines a serious working expression with a stable, confident temperament.

When “off duty,” Black is playful and affectionate — a dog who loves swimming (like his grandsire Chris vom Schwaiger Rathaus), chasing balls, and using his exceptional nose to track wildlife on the farm.

Courage in Action – The Rinkhals Story
Black’s courage was tested when an exceptionally venomous Rinkhals snake approached the puppy gate where nine young pups were playing. Acting instinctively, Black intercepted and neutralized the snake before it could reach them. Although bitten and hospitalized for several days, his strong genetics and resilience saw him make a full recovery — a testament to his physical strength and constitution.

Proven Breeding Value
Black is a prepotent sire, consistently passing his outstanding type to his offspring. His progeny inherit:

  • Strong head type
  • Correct structure and movement
  • Deep pigment and rich markings
  • Balanced drive and stable temperament

Importantly, Black has proven his ability to correct faults in females — improving head strength, bone, and overall structure while maintaining correct breed character. His offspring, from a variety of our females of German bloodlines, excel in conformation, working trials, and as loyal companions. Many are instinct‑driven working dogs thriving in advanced training with their owners. Craffenheim Rottweilers is proud to have bred this exceptional male, whose ADRK genetics remain true to the German Rottweiler — a complete dog for work, show, and family life.
